Individual Therapy in Manhattan
Personalized Support for a Stronger You
We are here to help you discover the strength inside of you, and support you on the path of finding the person you want to be.
-Jamie Glass | FOUNDER
From the outside, things may look like they’re working. Your career is on track and you’re handling what life asks of you. But inside, something feels off. Maybe it’s anxiety that never fully quiets, relationships that keep hitting the same wall, or a sense that you’re performing your life instead of living it.
Individual therapy at Glass Psychotherapy is private, one-on-one care for adults who want to understand those patterns at the root, not just manage them. Our trauma-informed therapists help with anxiety, depression, relational trauma, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Sessions are 50 minutes and available in person at our Manhattan offices on Fifth Avenue and the Upper West Side, or virtually.

Individual Therapy for Professionals in Manhattan
Many of our clients are high achievers. They’re capable, self-aware, and often the person others lean on. That’s exactly why it can be hard to admit when something isn’t working.
Work stress and burnout. Long hours and high expectations can leave you running on empty, even when you’re succeeding.
High achievement and self-worth. When your sense of value is tied to performance, rest can feel uncomfortable and mistakes can feel like failures.
Relationship patterns. You may handle work with ease but find your personal relationships keep breaking down in familiar ways.
Emotional well-being. Some clients come in with a clear concern. Others just know they feel disconnected and want to understand why.
Therapy gives you a space where you don’t have to perform. Together with your therapist, you’ll look at what’s driving these patterns and build lasting change.
Is Individual Therapy Right For Me?
Individual therapy at Glass Psychotherapy is designed for those ready to explore and heal from deep-rooted challenges. Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, or relational trauma? Are negative patterns, low self-worth, or difficulties in relationships holding you back? If so, therapy may be the right step. It helps uncover and address the root causes of these struggles, allowing you to create meaningful and lasting change.
This one-on-one work provides a safe space to reflect, grow, and develop self-compassion. With guidance, you can break unhelpful cycles and gain the confidence to move forward. Our compassionate therapists are here to support your journey toward growth, self-discovery, and secure connections.
Private-Pay Individual Therapy
Glass Psychotherapy is a private-pay practice. That means your care is shaped by what you want to work on, not by what an insurance company requires.
Working privately gives you more flexibility in how often you meet, room for deeper, long-term work beyond symptom management, and added privacy, since your clinical information isn’t shared with an insurer.
Session fees: Therapy at Glass Psychotherapy starts at $300 per session. You can review our Good Faith Estimate for more details on costs.
Out-of-network reimbursement: As an out-of-network provider, we send a detailed superbill at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We also offer Thrizer, a secure platform that helps you track payments and manage insurance claims. Learn more on our Reimbursement page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Individual therapy is a one-on-one therapeutic process where you work closely with one of our licensed therapists to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The sessions are tailored to your unique needs and goals in order to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and address challenges in a safe, confidential environment.
Individual therapy can help with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship challenges, trauma, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. It is a versatile, personalized approach to improve mental and emotional well-being.
Most clients attend therapy on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, depending on their needs and availability. Your therapist will recommend a frequency that supports your progress and ensures continuity of care, but the schedule can be adjusted to fit your lifestyle.
You may start to notice improvements in your mood, coping skills, self-awareness, and relationships. Regular check-ins with your therapist will help track your progress, and we will adjust the approach as needed to ensure you are meeting your therapeutic goals.
Start by thinking about what you want help with and what matters to you in a therapist, such as their specialties, approach, and whether you prefer in-person or virtual sessions. A consultation call is a good way to ask questions and see if the fit feels right. At Glass Psychotherapy, our practice manager matches you with a therapist based on your goals, their expertise, and state licensing, with in-person sessions available at our Manhattan offices.
